International gender equality

Introduction

Women and girls make up half of the world’s population, which is equivalent to half of the potential of humanity. I chose this topic because if there is no harmony in our society, then there will be no development.

Gender equality, one of the most important human rights, plays a key role in ensuring peace and harmony in society and the full realization of human potential through sustainable development. It has been proven that the involvement of women in the life of society leads to increased productivity and economic growth. Unfortunately, humanity has a long way to go to achieve full equality between men and women in terms of their rights and opportunities.

INTERNATIONAL GENDER EQUALITY

Luong Hong Anh, ME-110, KNEU

Introduction

We live in a time when the modern-day world is persistently altering. In a society, everyone has the right to lead his/her life without any discrimination. The state is achieved when all creatures are considered to be equal regardless of their status, gender, skin color, profession, and position, we call it equality. The most prevalent discrimination is gender inequality.

What is gender equality? In my opinion, gender equality is, most of all, having identical opportunities and acknowledgement. If a woman is able to perform the work in the same quality as a man, she should be paid exactly the same as a man is paid or vice versa.

International gender equality

The modern world is constantly changing. We live in a time when almost everything comes down to a certain understanding, adequate perception and tolerance. One of the key issues today is gender inequality.

Undoubtedly, this problem is a reality, the past and future not of each individual country, but of the world as a whole. Inequality is inherent in every country in the world, regardless of the level of development. Inequality is a manifestation of social differentiation and one of the main obstacles to people’s self-realization in modern society.

The last decades of the twentieth century were a turning point in the process of shifting and equalizing relations between men and women. This process was particularly noticeable in the division of educational, political and economic resources.
