Introduction

Participation of women in business, in the legislative process, in legal education, in the positions of lawyers in the public and private sectors and judges of commercial courts. Women make up 54% of the population of Ukraine.

One of the most important manifestations of equality is equality between men and women in the labor market. Ukrainian labor legislation proclaims formal equality, prohibits discrimination in the labor market, but in practice women have fewer career opportunities, lower wages, and work mainly in the low-paid sector.

Хоча для українців підприємництво стало відносно новим (чи добре забутим) явищем, і в суспільстві ще немає однозначно доброзичливого ставлення до нього, позитивні наслідки розвитку МСП змушують задуматися про необхідність стимулювання та всебічної підтримки цього виду діяльності.

Крім очевидних переваг, які полягають у створенні нових робочих місць, зниженні рівня безробіття, забезпеченні зростання ВВП та надходжень до бюджету, участі у розвитку місцевої інфраструктури, підприємництво забезпечує можливості для реалізації підприємницьких, організаційних та творчих здібностей, розробки та запровадження інновацій, підвищення конкурентоспроможності вітчизняних товарів та послуг.

INTRODUCTION

Women’s business … What do people usually think in Ukraine, hearing the phrase “women’s entrepreneurship”? A survival strategy to which poverty pushed us, the loss of a permanent job and a stable income? Or maybe just a desire of a modern woman to self-actualize, to gain economic independence, to engage in “business” that sometimes becomes the meaning of life?

Women’s entrepreneurship is a relatively new phenomenon for the Ukrainian economy, therefore for the study of women’s issues it is necessary to analyze the features and problems of business development.
